Our Story.
Ottone Hardware was founded by Ces from a desire to see and experience craft and effect in his own home. During a top-to-toe house renovation in 2019, one of the most difficult hurdles he and his partner Lucy had to overcome was the sourcing of individual and beautiful aged hardware. Experimenting with the ageing process on their own brass achieved such a great impact within their home they knew it had to be explored further. Fast forward 3 years and Ottone are happy to share their beautiful designs and patinas to all on a varied section of products.
Working from a small handcrafted workshop in East London, we have developed many interesting patina ‘recipes’ to create perfect heart-warming effects for any home.
No nasty chemicals are used in the ageing process, only natural ingredients.
The antique brass finish is created by oxidising the metal, through a series of hand applied processes and surface wear, resulting in a unique patina. No two pieces are alike.
